Covid-19 Operating Conditions
Regular exercise is beneficial to the immune system and can help reduce stress. Therefore we believe it is important to still be able to provide a safe, healthy space for you to be able to exercise in our facility. However, should you be in self-isolation or displaying any flu or cold symptoms we ask that you please stay away until cleared to do so by a medical professional.
Swimming – Pool area opens 7am Saturday 11th September.
Lane Swimming 25m: Lane swimming will be available but on a limited basis with allocated 30 minute blocks for public swimming. Please ensure that you arrive early or on time for your allocated lane space booking as Only one lane per day, per person please. Normal swim admission prices apply. Please social distance and wear a mask when you enter and leave the building. And to help ensure a speedy turnaround, please arrive and leave in your swimwear.
To book a lane can you please phone 036842229 during open hours. Monday to Friday 5.30am to 9pm and Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays 7am to 7pm. You can also call into CBay reception and make a lane booking.
The Leisure Pool: Will be open from 7am on Saturday but limited to a maximum of 30 people, when we reach our maximum capacity we will work on a one-out one-in basis. Level 2 2 metre social distance requirements apply – there is a check in system as you enter the building. Normal swim admission prices apply. Please social distance and wear a mask when you enter and leave the building.
Programme Pool: Is open but limited to a maximum of 30 people at a time. During Aqua Gentle, Learn2Swim and school Water safety programmes it will be closed to the public. Please phone 036842229 for more information.
AquaFit Tuesday Class: Is currently scheduled to run, it is limited to 20 people and booking is required, you can phone 036842229 during open hours, or call into CBay reception to book. Normal swim and class admission prices apply. Please social distance while in the building and wear a mask when you enter and leave the building.
These requirements apply to this Saturday 11th, Sunday 12th, Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th at this stage. We will keep you updated as things change. Please be patient as there will be a wait while we process customers. Thank you for your kindness, as we work hard to keep our customers and staff safe during Covid Level 2 Delta restrictions.
LEARN2SWIM – The remainder of Term 3 classes are cancelled. Learn2Swim will resume in Term 4 - Monday 18th October. You will be emailed details on Term 4 in due course.
AQUA CLASSES – Resume on Wednesday 15th Sept with the normal timetable, but classes will be limited to 28 people per class to ensure social distancing, no booking required.
WALKNTALK - Resume normal hours from Tuesday 12th, no booking required. However 2 metre social distancing will be need to be adhered to. Lifeguards will monitor numbers.
SQUADS – Resume on Monday 11th at a reduced level. You will receive an email from Swim School regarding details on training in due course. The Stroke and Development and Fitness Squads will not resume until Term 4
PUBLIC SWIMMING – Resumes Saturday 11th September from 7am. To ensure the safety of our customers and staff the 2 metre social distancing requirements will need to be adhered to, Lifeguards will be monitoring this and failure to comply may result in you being asked to leave. At all times we reserve the right to restrict admittance due to user numbers.
CBay Fitness – Open from 5.30am Wednesday 8th September
CBay Fitness hours are normal - Monday to Friday 5.30am to 9pm / Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 7am to 7pm. Entry to CBay Fitness will be via the front entrance with mandatory sign in required at the front desk. Gym access is limited to 50 people at a time. Group Fitness participants will be required to pick up a class access card from the Contact Tracing Desk, then go upstairs to the studio of their class and present the Class Access Card to the instructor. Classes are limited to 20 in Studio 1 and 15 for RPM & Sprint classes. Where there is a class cross-over please ensure you wear a mask and queue in a socially distant manner.
If you want to swim or have a coffee after you have been to the gym you will be required to sign out of the gym, and then sign into the pool area. We will be monitoring gym & studio user numbers to ensure we stay below the set numbers at any one time. We thank you in advance for your patience as we work hard to keep our customers and staff safe at Level 2.
CBay Café – Open from 9am Wednesday 8th September
Café hours are this Wednesday 8th, Thursday 9th & Friday 10th 9am to 2pm, from Saturday 11th September hours are back to normal, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm / Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 9am to 4pm.
The café remains open for business and we encourage you to take the time and catch up with your friends over a coffee. We do ask that you maintain appropriate social distancing and again will be monitoring user numbers in the foyer space. You are able to remove your mask while in the café but please replace your mask and sign out at the Contact Tracing Desk when you leave the café.
To ensure 100% contact tracing everyone who enters the building is required to sign in and sign out at the Contact Tracing Desk. Thank you for your cooperation as we work together to keep everyone safe.
